JUST A BAD DREAM by Stan C Countz 1/21/23

It was 2023. I had plenty of sleep. Woke up from a somber dream  “Ain’t no joke. You must be woke.” I heard some zombie scream  Flames flew high into the night, I thought I heard a muffled cry  “Mostly peaceful riot,” someone said, then things got awfully quiet   A judge was hearing cases, but refused to hear the facts  Healthy young athletes braced for sudden heart attacks  The media were reading from the very same scripts  The calendar up on the wall read January sixth   The zombies cried “We got ‘em." The zombies and the witch Like a scene from Sodom they liked to play fatal politics  “Zero cases are the target. Stay calm. Don’t pitch a fit.”  Dined at the French Market, those zombie hypocrits   Fast forward to Wisconsin, far from the gates of Hell  A guy named Kyle facing trial for tryin’ to save himself  They tried him in a court of law, to put him behind bars  Ignored the queen of Arkansas and the whining border...

THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH

Mohammed didn’t pay the price for my sin Neither did Confucius, Krishna or Buddha Moses shows us how far from Him we’ve been Not so with the Lion of the Tribe of Judah   He lived a sinless life, which no one else had done Said “If you want to see my father, just watch his only son.” He walked on water, healed the sick and even raised the dead “Build your house on the rock, not sifting sand,” he often said   There is no one else like Him on earth No one counts or even comes close The only one with no sin whose birth Was announced by the heavenly host   Born in a stable, a manger for a cradle Made a livin’ buildin’ tables and chairs Everything was fine, til water turned to wine Made everyone there, stop and stare   He didn’t recruit lots of nuts and fruits But from the start, He sought Those whose hearts Were pure and true   His followers all were Jews Zealots and fishermen, not a few Two named James, one And...

ALL WE CAN SAY IS HALLELUJAH!

All We Can Say is Hallelujah   What have we become? How could we fall so far? After all You’ve done To show us Your heart Your heart was grieved By the lies we believed It’s easy to see how easily People can be deceived You died for our sin - and rose from the tomb Before we were in - our mother’s womb You knew us - pursued us But we were a Judas We betrayed you They flayed you We pray you Won’t say  “I never knew ya!” No one comes to faith but through ya You turned our night into day All we can say is hallelujah Can’t take a bow For what we are now No room to be proud It’s Your grace It’s all due to ya All we can say Is hallelujah Your Spirit of peace broke through the lies A grain of wheat  first must die Before it can rise Every tongue will confess Every knee shall bow When they see how You blessed us and made us new You did what only You could do You judged this tree By its fruit You planted the seed a nd grew us You see right through us We can’t fool Ya All we...
