Some Common Sense

Some are on the right, some on the left

Some are on the fence

So keep up the fight and hide in the cleft

And you'll be calm and blessed


Walk in the light as He is in the light

Turn from your wrong and repent

Walk by faith and not by sight

And use some common sense


But common sense ain't that common

In this mixed up day and age

It doesn't take a mage or shaman (to see)

We 're fixed on hate and rage


Like our Savior, some of us will be 

Betrayed by a traitor's kiss

Perhaps, like Esther, we were saved 

For such a fate as this...


What's wrong is right, what's right is wrong

It's straight from the abyss

God wants to break these chains and bonds

And walk daily in our midst


It's not by power, it's not by mught

But by God's Spirit, take no offense

Walk by faith and not by sight

And use some common sense
